Carbon brainwashing making lobbyists look stupid

Carbon brainwashing making lobbyists look stupidThe migration of society towards the couch, and more importantly the television, has revolutionized the learning process. For good or for bad, more are using broadcasted jargon to gain insight into reality and better understand how the world works. With this reality in mind, it is no shocker that companies, organizations, and even governments want to cash in on this form of mindless self indulgence; and that is exactly what global warming nay-sayers are trying to do with a recent TV campaign.

The lack of filtering that many TV watchers possess opens doors for all sorts of subconscious media biases. Big time broadcasting companies and advertisers, usually under the radar, inundate the viewers with a false reality intended to stimulate demand for goods and services.

Well, a recent not so under the radar campaign called CO2 is Green is trying to stimulate the demand for CO2 by advertising that "more CO2 results in a greener earth."

The statement, just like many greenwashing statements, disregards the overarching situation and finagles the truth.

Sure the earth needs balanced levels of CO2 just as much as it needs balanced levels of oxygen. And yes, lowered levels of CO2 would "inhibit plant growth and food production." These are truths any educated person would have learned in elementary school.

Saying "more CO2 results in a greener earth," however, overstates a much more complex situation than photosynthesis (and I can guarantee global warming scientists are well aware of the photosynthesis process).  The claim completely fails to refute or even acknowledge any fact or scientific proof that demonstrates the threat of global warming. Instead of providing facts, CO2 is Green reverts back to the basics by stating the process of life.

And I hate to admit it but this whole global warming piece came up because the process of life was out of whack with too much carbon.

It is like a scientist trying to explain to a three year the photosynthesis process and all the three year old gets out of it is that the world needs carbon dioxide.

It is a sad attempt to refute the government's push against carbon.

Big time oil lobbyists usually go straight to the top with their money, not their reasoning, and it is unfortunate for oil advocates that big time lobbyist H Leighton Steward has chosen to share his elementary opinions with the world.

Even the most brainwashed and worst filters should be able to see the flaw to this pathetic campaign.
